Remote Start with Keyless Entry
Great little remote start for the money
I received this unit for Xmas and due to weather conditions I have just now gotten around to installing it. I selected this unit based on the price and the fact that Code Alarm made the factory remote start system for my truck. This was installed in a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT which is basically a dressed up F150.
The wiring was fairly straight forward and most everything was very easy to understand. I have never installed a remote start before but i am a certified electronics tech by trade so it was rather painless. The hardest part by far is locating the factory wiring you must tie into. I used T-Tap connectors to avoid cutting my factory wiring. I downloaded a wire layout for my specific vehicle beforehand and that made things much easier. Keep in mind you MUST also have a security bypass module installed to prevent you from having to have a key in the ignition for the starter to engage.
