I've always been amazed at how expensive Sony batteries are for the types of Sony equipment I use. Only recently did I find that there were other makers that made AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL and Vivitar (a brand that I'm familiar with) is one of them. Initially, I thought that while it may power the camera just as well I entertained the thought that it wouldn't take as many recharges or that the charge wouldn't last as long when put under a load. I was wrong. This is an excellent battery which in every way is as good or better that the original battery...oh, and WAY cheaper at Amazon than at any other site.
