Came with Program instructions...but the instructions can be found on the jeep commander forum or a simple google search or in the jeep owners manual.
You need two working keys, "working" meaning they will turn the car on to program the new key. I had two keys both will turn car on but one of the keys went through the washer and the buttons were not working, I bought this key to replace and it works great.
