This remote fits the optional dealer or port-installed VIP RS3000 security system. You must have this system on your vehicle. If you have the factory system, this remote will not work.
RS3000 systems work with a lot of Toyota Vehicles. Your current remote must look exactly like this one & have the same #'s on the back (BAB237131-022).
This remote's casing is gray & was only used on 1998-2002 Toyota vehicles. There is also a black version that was used on 1990-1997 Toyota vehicles. The black and grey remotes are not interchangeable.
