Avoid the stealerships!
When I called the local FORD dealer for a replacement ignition key they quoted in the tune of $75 for programming the ignition key and in the tune of $50 plus taxes for the key FOB and additional $25 for one Ignition key. There seems to be no real fixed price when you get these stuff from your local dealer. It all depends on their mood? and how much they want to rip you off. I wanted to avoid going to the "stealerships" as much as possible.

Having said, I primarily got this to replace a broken key FOB on 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid. I am pleased to report that the programming of the 'Key FOB' worked perfectly by following the instructions given with the product. The range of the included 'key FOB' is just as good as the original that I had. BTW, The instruction manual does have programming methods for various types of FORD cars that the 'key FOB' works with. However, I can only say that it works fine on 2006 Ford escape hybrid. It might well work with other FORD car models too...
